My approach
I believe that mental health difficulties are often a manifestation of health related, psychological or social difficulties. The difficulties emerge due to complex combination of factors including genetics, psychological tendencies, support network, environmental and social changes.
My treatment for mental health problems involves a combination of symptomatic relief, understanding of causes, improving resilience, identifying strengths and warning signs before discharge so we are better prepared in the future.
I use bespoke treatment approaches that work for each person using a combination of psychological and medical approaches. I believe that identifying the best treatment plan facilitates the best treatment outcome.
About Me
I am a psychiatrist with over 17 years of clinical experience. I worked as Consultant Psychiatrist and managed complex presentations in general psychiatry, liaison, neuropsychiatry and forensic psychiatry settings.
My aim is to find the most effective and evidence based treatment that’s appropriate for each individual and their circumstances. I explore my patient’s difficulties through their unique perspective, understand the reasons for their visit, their hopes and expectations from the treatment. I endeavour to reach their goal by collaborative treatment, taking into account each individual’s preference and suitability of various treatment approaches.
